Recreating the Liferay jsessionId in a custom theme - liferay

I have created links in my theme. Unfortunately those links need to contain something like this : "http://localhost:8080/test:jsessionid=ABCDEFG" .
I was able to do this in a journal article using this code:
;jsessionid=$request.get('portlet-session-id')
but I am not able to do the same thing in my theme.
Can anyone help me out here ?

You can get jsessionid in theme by using $request.getRequestedSessionId().

Liferay : How to see which portlets are composing a page?

I'm new to liferay.
I imported a big lar into my liferay instance but, for the moment, have none of the required portlets : there are a lot of portlets in the project I'm joining.
Currently, I have the site structure, but the pages display the message that the portlet is not here (logical).
For comprehension purposes, I wanted to build my portlets one after the other, on the need, to see them appear by the grace of liferay ;-)
But for that I wanted to know which portlet is missing.
This thread : How can i find - which portlets are deployed on which pages in Liferay 6.1? explain how to achieve this through the DB.
Is there really no built-in solution to do it through the liferay interface? Have we really to hack in the DB to get the info or install plugin?
Thanks!
In your browser console, Liferay.Portlet.list contains all portlets in the page.
This value is generated by themeDisplay.getLayoutTypePortlet().getAllPortlets() on the server.
As an alternative you can also look at the HTML code of the page and look for elements with the class portlet-boundary. For example this belongs to an instance of the Journal Content Portlet (Portlet name 56):
<div class="portlet-boundary portlet-boundary_56_ portlet-static portlet-static-end portlet-borderless portlet-journal-content full-screen" id="p_p_id_56_INSTANCE_WdRdMGe86kDa_">

stop displaying a footer navivation node from my web page using hmc or impex in hybris

Can anyone please help me out in removing the footer navigation node from my page using hmc or impex? I am also looking for an appropriate source to know everything about WCMS so in case anyone knows about it then please help me out.
Thanks.
In HMC,
1.click on WCMS.
2.Select components.
3.Search for Footer.
4.Select staged version of footer component
5.we have an attribute called navigationNodes.Edit the navigation node and save.
Sree is correct. More specific, there could be property named "Visible", you can use it. More information, you can find here: Hybris Wiki

How to change the logo in the URL of a liferay portal?

I want to change this liferay logo to one of my own. How do i do it? I do not want to create a new theme, but make changes in the existing WELCOME theme of liferay.
Just put your custom favicon.ico file in the docroot/_diffs/images folder of your theme, if you are working on one.
If you’re not then create one using classic as the parent theme so you don’t need to customize it in any way to have the standard look and feel.

Liferay Search static text within all portlets

I would like to know if built in functionality exists or how to implement functionality to search the static text of JSPs not web content of all deployed portlets in liferay from a centralised portlet (or theme). Unfortunately, there does not seem to be help regarding this issue.
Thanks.
This could be helpful. You must get rid of long and ugly URLs and use Liferay API's mentioned in that Wiki.

SharePoint 2007 custom theme. where did this CSS file come from?

We set up the SharePoint 12 hive folder for a custom theme with a new xml entry and folder.
Is everything required for a custom theme living in the theme folder? I'm asking because we are seeing CSS files that appear to be dynamically named rendered on SharePoint pages in the folder that are not actually in the folder.
Will we have to use SPD and custom site changes to get a custom theme to work?
I've got a designer working only in the theme folder, but he is seeing rendered css that he can't get to. He is not using SPD
That 1011-65001 squence file is found nowhere? what is that an where can I find it. Any way to have my custom theme all hard fixed name css files in that folder without using SPD?
/_themes/MYNEWFOLDER/MYNEWTHEME1011-65001.css?rev=12%2E0%2E0%2E6421

Update: I just realzed that css is creatd when I apply the theme and so it's in my _themes site folder. But now, when I attempt to re-apply the theme, that was working before, now i get a write error on _themes.
I can answer your first query why its dyanamic name this is because themes which you installed are ghosted version and when you apply them an unghosted version is created for the specific site where it is applied. so a dyanamic naming is required and it cannot be hard coded in MOSS even if you try using SPD you can do it but you have to remove the theming then.
the same you have also have notified in update that the css name is changed only when you apply it.
regarding your second issue of reapplying it did you try applying another them and then back to first one and is giving error then please check the 12 hive logs it will give you cause of failure and if still you are not able to figure out the same plz share the relavent log here we will try to help you
