Crystal report is working fine in local. But when i deployed it in IIS, its displaying a blank page. I have tried the following one. But this is not working for me.
"Downloading and installing runtime for Crystal Reports 13 for Visual Studio 2010. (You might want to skip this step if you already did this before and your application is working locally).
"Once the runtime is installed. Crystal Reports will install the required support files in the location of your local computer: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13
Copy the entire Crystal Report Support folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13 to your Website's SITE_ROOT\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319 folder.
4) If you do not have a \aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319 folders in your website's root. Please create them manually and then copy the crystalreportviewers13 into it."

In addition to that make sure your report files are being published when you publish your project with the option 'Only files needed to run this application'. This resource might help
I have faced the same problem and resolved it by following these these steps:
At first, you have to debug your application javascript, let us say on Chrome (I prefer chrome debugging tool). It will show you exactly what errors your crystal report is generating.
In my case, my Jquery.js library had to be included before bootstrap.js library like this:

<script src="js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/npm.js"></script>
Secondly, the report was unable to connect to my ODBC driver to load data, that was because of ODBC permission problem. Again I had to fix this one.
These errors were all shown in the debugging console, so concentrate on it.

We frequently use Excel to perform bulk updates of data in TFS. Up until very recently, the Team Foundation Add-In has worked very well. However, it has started failing in several ways:
It will connect to the server, but attempting to connect to any
project causes Excel to crash, producing a Watson report in the
Windows Application Event Log.
If I restart Excel, it reports that it is running into problems with
both the shim and the add-in, and offers to disable it. If I do not
disable it, I still can't connect to a project.
Eventually, the add-in refuses to load at all, until I use the
Options dialog to manually add the COM add-in back into the
application. Doing so produces the same results (Excel crashes when
attempting to load a project).
I have taken the following steps in an attempt to resolve the issue:
Removed and completely reinstalled Office.
Re-registered the add-in component.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Team Foundation Office Integration.
None of these have produced a fix to the issue.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

If you are reading the accepted answer and it still isn't working, here's an additional tip. I had the EXACT same problem and saw that same link to clear the cache from numerous sites, bit it didn't work.
Here's the thing. I don't think that article lists ALL of the places that cache can be hiding on your machine. I deleted the cache folder in two different places on my machine and had given up on that as a solution.
Then I searched my entire hard drive for any folder with "Team Foundation" in the name and found a couple more buried in other hierarchies. Deleting these FINALLY solved the problem.
Here are some folders to look for, but like I said, check the entire drive
c:\users\yourlogin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft shared\Team Foundation Server\
c:\users\yourlogin\AppData\Local\Temp\Microsoft\Team Foundation
The actual cache folder will be nested another level deep under a numbered folder named with something like "7.0" or "8.0" delete the cache folder from every one you find under every number.
In general cleaning the caches on your client machine will resolve such problems, including the TFS and VS caches...

I just came back from MWLUG and started to open up some Xpages DBs to work on, when all of the sudden I am getting 1000s of errors like this:
I googled the issue and I believe it has something to do with the path of the org.eclipse.pde.core.requiredPlugins.
When I opened up the packages and looked at fixing an error I got this:
The problem is that I do not know what the correct setting for this should be, or how to fix it. The apps run fine, but obviously something is wrong.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I may know more about the problem. In designer when I go to File==>Application==Application Management this is what I see:
A different install has several components under it.
I updated my designer and client and admin to 9.0.1 FP4 last week. That is the last thing I remember doing before this messed up (along with installing the Debug Toolbar).
How can I fix my designer install?
Strange indeed, you should check your hard drive for bad sectors.
Looks like a broken DDE in general. The plugin XML file maybe broken so the app manager doesn't show you the plugins installed. Therefor I assume DDE starts very quickly, right? Because nothing is loaded.
I had this before and my "solution" was:
de-install DDE and Fixpacks
delete workspace folder
re-install DDE and Fixpacks
re-install plugins ad setup workig sets
This is a pity but at least you get a clean install. You don't have to delete everything (e.g. the DATA folder)
When I try to run codecoverage tool on release bits of my website I get an empty .coverage file containing the following error:
Empty results generated: No binaries were instrumented. Make sure the tests ran, required binaries were loaded, had matching symbol files, and were not excluded through custom settings. For more information see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=253731
This issue does not occur if I run it on the debug version of the same build.
These are the exact steps I perform:
- start monitoring code coverage on IIS server
codecoverage collect /IIS /session:test /output:test.coverage
- perform a few click around the website
- stop monitoring code coverage
codecoverage shutdown /session:test
Note! I do hae the .pdb files in the same place as the binaries.

I finally managed to get to the bottom of this. For the release build, there were 2 things I needed to change in the .config file
specify the path to the Symbols (apparently this is needed even if the .pdf files are in the same location as the dlls)
I had to remove the default exclusion list since these included Microsoft public key tokens and our product is a Microsoft product.
Hope this will be helpful for others running into the same situation.

As far as Code Coverage is concerned, I didn't see anything specific to using the VS Code Coverage tool and configuring for IIS. I did see lots of articles about testing web applications in general, some of which involved setting up code coverage (Setting Up Machines and Collecting Diagnostic Information Using Test Settings being an example).

I'm trying to deploy a winform application with IIS and ClickOnce. I can access the publish.htm page and the install even starts when I click on the provided link.
However I get this error during the installation process:
Downloading http://MyWebSiteUrl/.../Interop.SHDocVw.dll did not succceed.
The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Can anybody help me out on this ?

I found out that I needed to check "use .deploy file extension" (under properties>Publish>Options>Deployment
[Answering this old question because it comes up as the best match in my case and the accepted answer was of no use to me].
Background, in an IIS hosted ClickOnce scenario, the downloadable components are itemized in a manifest file at the root of the deployment (that's how you can specify a single download link and deploy all the supporting components).
I was converting a tested application from a WiX installation to a lightweight version with ClickOnce and received the HTTP 500 error without anything else in the logs. Naturally, I failed to think it through and instead found myself getting dragged down the rabbit hole on the internets, with instructions for detailed logging, magic spells, etc.
Upon more sober reflection, the problem was simple and I should have been able to tell immediately from the IIS log: a 500 followed by a 0 is shorthand for 'you're an idiot, the content isn't where you said it was' and it had almost nothing to do with ClickOnce.
I had copy/paste/edited an existing download link template in MVC that was in use for simple apps and it happened to cater to only two levels of subfolders in the manifest. When I ported a more complex project structure, I ended up leaving items in a Resources sub-sub-subfolder that looked fine in the manifest but the path was being truncated in MVC so that the related item could not be found.
Moral of the story - if you get a 500 error always check first to make sure your non-functioning appliance is plugged into a working outlet...
I just deployed a website into IIS 7 (about which I am woefully ignorant), and upon trying to build the site, I receive this error. I did a little googleing and I saw an article that said I should put system.web.extensions.dll into the /bin. But, I also saw an article saying not to do that. I tried it anyway, but I just received a different error ('Resource cannot be found').
I am totally clueless as to what else to try
Can you use the "Publish" command in Visual Studio to publish directly to the site? If not, then use that command to publish to a similar site on your machine, then copy it to the customer site.
You should also look into the IIS Web Deployment Tool. It can copy an entire site, including IIS settings and any databases. It will be built into VS2010.
Go to control panel, then programs, turn windows features on or off, scroll down to Microsoft.net framework 3.5.1 expand, make sure both sub options are selected, this might help your issue.
