Downloaded mergDataGridScroller from the mergExt site today. In the readme it says that Sons of Thunder 'DropTools' is required. It doesn't say that on the main site. Plus, I cannot seem to find DropTools on the SOT site.
You can download DropTools; there is an explanation on how to use it with mergDataGridScroller.

The supporting applications used to be at www.ibmpressbooks.com/title/9780133373370. But since IBM sold Notes, it is no longer there. Does anyone know where I can download these Chp??Ed2.nsf files?
You can still download from the book page at https://www.informit.com/store/mastering-xpages-a-step-by-step-guide-to-xpages-application-9780133373370. The download links to https://www.informit.com/content/images/9780133373370/downloads/9780133373370_Code-Samples.zip which still works. The zip contains 25 files.
Introduction I've been searching for a while now, but unable to find proper support for community edition of OpenBravo. The wiki is present but seems to be outdated, having pages updated in 2018 linking to old pages dated 2011 that seem to irrelevant now, missing downloads etc.
The page
http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Installation/Appliance/ISO
refers to a download page having openbravo-3.0PR18Q4.2-amd64.iso.
This page is dated November 2018 and states that the version of this ISO will be available in two months (at the time of writing this question 4 months have passed.)
The download link is
http://www.openbravo.com/content/download-openbravo-3-community-edition which redirects to http://www.openbravo.com/community/
and this page doesn't have any downloads.
Also on this Community page, at the bottom if we want to get information http://forums.openbravo.com
this link shows an Forbidden error, and I can't find a way to signup if any account is needed.
Though I was able to download the ISO from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/openbravo/files/01-openbravo-appliances/3.0PR18Q3.5/
But this seems to be an old version, while running it over VMWare player, I'm unable find any signs of pre-installed dependencies needed for OpenBravo.
Now my goal is to make it from source. The repository location I've found it https://code.openbravo.com/erp/stable and the latest date I see here is from 2015. Please do mention if you happen to know where the latest repository is.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Use http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Installation/Custom to setup the instance.

i have a project with a friend and its about developing a website which will provide the users with some courses on certain topics.
And we were wondering on how we are going to be updating the lessons notes and posting new ones without any problem. And he said the cpanel provided by the host company will provided a means to post just like on blogs. So i doubted and i'll like to ask if it true or i'll have to code a new page for every topic on the site.
Please i'll appreciate if any one helps me with the truth or a guide on how to do it.
thanks...
A good starting point for you is to use github to host a code repository you start with git. If you use github, you can utilize github pages to host your content for free.
If you already have a hosting framework in mind like WAMP or heroku, let us know and we can provide more specific information on how to push your code up to your application depending on how you're hosting it. But the best starting point for you is to use some sort of version control and the leading version control option is git. You definitely never need to rewrite the same code all over again and version control is essential for managing updates to your code and collaborating with other developers.
I'm trying to create a latest news section to the front page of my website. What is the simplest way to go about this? I know I could use WordPress but I don't necessarily want it to be a blog, just a scrolling news section.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about http://jackjohnsonmusic.com/archive/news
I've searched for ages on the internet and found nothing about this, if anyone has any links that maybe useful I'd appreciate it
Not sure if this is what your looking for but I have used it in the past. It takes news feeds from RSS and puts them on your site.

Say If I keep more number of web links of other sites on my web site then is it going to help my website in any way?
No it will help the other sites as you will be basically providing backlinks to theirs. Unless they have links going back to your site then you won't see any benefit at your end.
Maybe you are not quite clear about in-bound link and out-bound link.
What you are talking about now is out-bound link, which, according Google's PR, is a vote to other site(The linked site), not yours.
What you need, though, is in-bound link. In plain English, links of your sites on other sites.
Be warned, only putting our links on other sites that share the same themes can be counted as valid links. On top of it, do not tempted into Black Hat SEO!
