Remove parent div if duplicate words - each

I'm using a service called Embedly to style my RSS feeds from Google Feedburner. I have an example code over her: JsFiddle
If you look closely you will see the source (CNN) at the end of every title. This is called .provider I would like to get rid of the whole div (.embed) IF the the word CNN is located elsewere (meaning duplicate) in the div, either .description or a
I tried many things, this is one of them really straight forward code:
$('.embed').each(function() {
if($('.embed a:first **could also be .description**', this).text() == $('.provider', this).text())
$(this).remove();
});
I cant figure out why its not working. I also used it with on and live click with no luck.
I just realized the 'embeds' are not there on document tready. I added a button with click event which you can click after the embedly has loaded in: http://jsfiddle.net/2VBSX/37/

You can use success event to filter provider class from the data like this :
EDITED
$('div.newscontainer').embedly({
key: ':3eccf441bf0f43acbb076da9817af27d',
success: function(oembed, dict) {
output = $(oembed['code']);
description = $(oembed['code']).find(".description").text();
var regex =new RegExp(output.find('.provider').text(),"i");
if(regex.exec(description) == null ) {
$(dict["node"]).parent().html(output);
}
output.find("a:eq(0)").text(); // First
output.find("a:eq(1)").text(); // Provider
}
});
Checkout this jsfiddle demo

Is it that what you want?
var regex = /CNN/;
$('.embed').each(function(index, element) {
if (regex.exec($('.embed a:first').text()) != null
&& regex.exec($('.provider').text()) != null) {
element.remove();
}
});

Q: NetSuite E-Commerce - Source Custom Entity Fields to Reference Checkout

I have a custom entity field placed inside NetSuite, now I have to source the value of this field to my Reference Checkout as I'll use the value as a condition for which payment method to show on the shop.
Any ideas how to do this? I've searched the SuiteAnswers and got no significant help there.
Thank you!
I've looked into using view.model.get('customfield ID here') but it has not worked. I've also already defined the field on models.js. Just not sure if I placed it properly.
Render function of Order Wizard Payment Method Selector
, render: function()
{
if (this.wizard.hidePayment())
{
this.$el.empty();
this.trigger('change_label_continue');
return;
}
if (!this.selectedModule)
{
var selected_payment = this.model.get('paymentmethods').findWhere({primary: true})
, selected_type;
var creditlevelhold = this.wizard.model.get('creditlevelhold'); < -- this is the custom field
console.log(creditlevelhold);
if(selected_payment){
selected_type = selected_payment.get('type');
}
else if(this.wizard.options.profile.get('paymentterms') && creditlevelhold === ''){
selected_type = 'invoice';
}
this.setModuleByType(selected_type)
Should be available like:
this.wizard.model.get('options')['custbodyxxx']

Read Only Form Filling - PDFTron

I'm using WebViewer [1] from PDFTron to fill Form Fields in a PDF on Web [2]. There's a way to make some fields in Read Only Mode, so the user will not be able to add text to textfield, check the checkboxes?
I found this page on the documentation [3] but it seems that I can only set document in read only mode, instead I want only custom fields in read only, users will be able to fill some fields and not others.
I found also this page [4] on doc to set fields to readonly but in my case on WebViewer it doesn't work, in my browser the viewerLoaded events never get called; I tried to put the code in another part of the code but nothing happens.
Are there some hints or some working code that you guys use?
Thanks, Alberto

I managed to make it work with a modified version of this code [1]. The final result is:
$(document).on('documentLoaded', function() {
var docViewer = myWebViewer.getInstance().docViewer;
var annotManager = docViewer.getAnnotationManager();
annotManager.on('annotationChanged', function(e, annotations, action) {
// if the annotation change occurs because of an import then
// these are fields from inside the document
if (action === 'add' && e.imported) {
annotations.forEach(function(annot) {
if(annot.fieldName == 'read_only_field_name'){
annot.fieldFlags.set('ReadOnly', true);
}
});
}
});
});

Hiding _all_ remote methods in loopback model

I'm using loopback 3.
I have this lines of codes in my model's js (survey.js):
let enabledRemoteMethods = []
Survey.sharedClass.methods().forEach(function(method) {
console.log(method.name, method.isStatic)
let matchingEnabledRemoteMethod = _.find(enabledRemoteMethods, {name: method.name});
if (!matchingEnabledRemoteMethod) {
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName(method.name, method.isStatic);
}
});
It works.... almost. I could still see in the explorer the REST endpoint for "PATCH /surveys/{id}". My expectation is: there shouldn't be any REST endpoints listed in the explorer.
Then I examined the URL corresponding to that operation, it is:
http://localhost:3000/explorer/#!/Survey/Survey_prototype_patchAttributes
Which, according to the documentation, means that patchAttributes is a static method.
Then I cross checked with the output in the console... there it says: pathAttributes is not static.
Incosistency!
I even have tried adding this line:
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName("patchAttributes", true);
Also
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName("patchAttributes", false);
No luck.
Can someone confirm if it's a bug in loopback 3 (I don't know about loopback 2, haven't checked)? If it's a bug I wouldn't have to spend time on it and just wait until it gets fixed. But if it's not a bug, can someone point out what's missing in my code?
Thanks!
UPDATE: figured out how
With this line I'm able to get rid of it:
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName("prototype.patchAttributes", true);
The second parameter doesn't seem to matter (you can put false as well). Not sure why though (I suppose it should've accepted true only).
This is my current solution:
let disabledPrototypesRemoteMethods = ['patchAttributes']
let enabledRemoteMethods = [
"create", "findById", "replaceById", "deleteById",
"replaceOrCreateQuestion"
]
Survey.sharedClass.methods().forEach(function(method) {
if (enabledRemoteMethods.indexOf(method.name) == -1) {
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName(method.name);
}
if (disabledPrototypesRemoteMethods.indexOf(method.name) > -1) {
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName("prototype." + method.name);
}
});
Still, one small detail: this thing still shows up (I suppose it provides the POST alternative for the normal PUT for the replaceById operation..., but I don't want it; I want to force user of my API to go with the PUT only):
http://localhost:3000/explorer/#!/Survey/Survey_replaceById_post_surveys_id_replace
I tried adding this line:
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName("replaceById_post_surveys_id_replace");
No luck.
Anyway... hope this useful for others; loopback doc is kind of sketchy.
You can get the prototype methods as well by looking at the stringName property. That way you can include the prototypes in your list.
The stringName includes the sharedClass name in the value, so you will need to parse that out.
module.exports = BusinessProfileContacted => {
const enabledRemoteMethods = ["create", "findById", "replaceById", "deleteById", "replaceOrCreateQuestion", "prototype.replaceAttributes"];
Survey.sharedClass.methods().forEach(method => {
const methodName = method.stringName.replace(/.*?(?=\.)/, '').substr(1);
if (enabledRemoteMethods.indexOf(methodName) === -1) {
Survey.disableRemoteMethodByName(methodName);
}
});
};

Element is not currently visible and so may not be interacted with node and selenium driver

I have the following code and I cannot get the driver to click the div. It keeps throwing the error
"Element is not currently visible and so may not be interacted"
when debugging you can clearly see that the element is visible. How can I ignore the warning or the error?
var webdriver = require('selenium-webdriver')
, By = webdriver.By
, until = webdriver.until;
var driver = new webdriver.Builder().forBrowser('firefox').build();
driver.get('http://www.vapeworld.com/');
driver.manage().timeouts().implicitlyWait(10, 10000);
var hrefs = driver.findElements(webdriver.By.tagName("a"));
hrefs.then(function (elements) {
elements.forEach(function (element) {
element.getAttribute('name').then(function (obj) {
if (obj == '1_name') {
console.log(obj);
element.click();
}
});
});
});
Your code is clicking an A tag with the name "1_name". I'm looking at the page right now and that element doesn't exist, hidden or otherwise.
You'd be better served by replacing the bulk of your code with a CSS selector, "a[name='1_name']" or "a[name='" + tagName + "']", that will find the element you want with a single find. You can then click on that element.
The issue you are running into is that the element you are trying to click is not visible, thus the error message. Selenium is designed to only interact with elements that the user can see, which would be visible elements. You will need to find the element you are looking for and figure out how to make it visible. It may be clicking another link on the page or scrolling a panel over, etc.
If you don't care about user scenarios and just want to click the element, visible or not, look into .executeScript().
Looked at the website and used the F12 tool (Chrome) to investigate the page:
var elements = [].slice.call(document.getElementsByTagName("a"));
var elementNames = elements.map(function (x) { return x.getAttribute("name"); });
var filledElementNames = elementNames.filter(function (x) { return x != null; });
console.log(filledElementNames);
The content of the website http://www.vapeworld.com is very dynamic. Depending on the situation you get one or more anchors with "x_name" and not always "1_name": the output of the script in Chrome was ["2_name"] and Edge returns ["1_name", "9_name", "10_name", "17_name", "2_name"]. So "you can clearly see that the element is visible" is not true in all situations. Also there were some driver bugs on this subject so it is worthwhile to update the driver if needed. See also the answers in this SO question explaining all the criteria the driver uses. If you want to ignore this error you can catch this exception:
try {
element.click();
} catch (Exception ex) {
console.log("Error!");
}
See this documentation page for more explanation.

On Orchard CMS, how can I display a message when the query returns no records for a projection

Using the admin panel on Orchard CMS I've created the following:
A content type called CalendarEvent, it contains several fields including the EventDate;
A query that has 2 filters, one by the content type (= CalendarEvent) and another one based on the date of the event. The Display Mode on the Layout is set to Properties;
A projection to display the query when a menu item is clicked.
The problem is that based on the EventDate we only display upcoming events, not the ones in the past. If for some reason there are no events to be displayed, all the user gets is an empty page with no information whatsoever.
My question is, how can I modify my query or projection in order to display something like: "There are no current events scheduled"?
I know the Properties on the Query's Layout allow me to specify a "No Result", but this implies that a record is present and that the actual property is empty. However, in my example, no record is present.
Thank you all in advance.
Rafael
By the way, I am using the latest Orchard version 1.6.
What I have done is to create a shape and use it as a view in my query. The shape will then have an if statement to check if the query return gives any results.
Example:
#using Orchard.ContentManagement
#using Orchard.Utility.Extensions
#{
var dealsTerms = ((IEnumerable<ContentItem>)Model.ContentItems).ToList();
}
#if (dealsTerms.Any() )
{
<div>
#foreach (var dealTerm in dealsTerms)
{
var contentManager = dealTerm.ContentManager;
<div>
#Display(contentManager.BuildDisplay(dealTerm, "Summary"))
</div>
}
</div>
}
else
{
<p>No deals found</p>
}
I used this article as reference:
http://www.ideliverable.com/blog/ways-to-render-lists-of-things
Good luck
If your projections are Layouts elements, you can create a Projection.cshtml file in your theme's Views/Elements folder with the following:
#{
var list = Model.List;
var pager = Model.Pager;
if (list != null)
{
#Display(list)
if (list.Items.Count == 0)
{
<div>There are currently no items.</div>
}
}
if (pager != null)
{
#Display(pager)
}
}
This is a copy of the default template with the if (list.Items.Count == 0) section added. Edit as needed.
