I have just installed subSonic 2.2 on an XP Sp3 VM .NET Framework 3.5 and when I try to launch the SubStage exe it crashes immediately. Any ideas?
Thought I'd add I am running the VM inside VMWare on Mac OSX.
I realized that what was crashing, was the pre-compiled exe that came in the src download. On a whim, I built the project locally and tried running the output from the local build - sweet! Works like a charm.
Don't know why the original build didn't work, but building it locally got me up and running.

I've experienced this on my Vista machine, running the application as administrator allowed it to work for me.
It was a system.io exception, so i wondered if there was a path problem.
I renamed ..\SubSonic 2.2\SubStage\MasterStore.xml to MasterStore.xml.old, then ran SubStage, and it worked. It regenerated MasterStore.xml.
I also renamed ..\SubSonic 2.2\SubStage\MasterStore.xml to MasterStore.xml.old, then ran SubStage, and it worked.
Renaming MasterStore.xml and running as Administrator solves this for me.

I installed node.js to work on a discord bot with VSCode but it didn't work.
I reinstalled it but ticked the 'install chocolatey' box this time, halfway through the installation I got 3 trojan alerts from my AV, and cancelled the installation.
Since then, I have been unable to uninstall, repair or reinstall Node.JS, through the Windows 10 uninstall function or from the Node.JS .msi file.
Each time I try, I get the same error message:
"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed."
I've removed all instances of Node.JS from my program files and %appdata%, I've ensure the Installer Service is running, and yet the Node.JS application still shows in the Uninstall Tool and when I try to uninstall / modify / reinstall, it shows the same error, and seems to think it's still installed on my system! Not even Node.JS commands work in my CMD!
I've got no idea how to fix this, and I don't want to use glitch anymore to write my bot, so please help- or it seem's I'll have to factory reset my PC and hope that resolves the issue.
Thanks in advance, guys.
Godspeed.
EDIT: I tried installing a newer version hoping it would overwrite old Node.JS files. Didn't work. Issue still occurring.
Do these:
Open command prompt as Administrator and run /sfc scannow. It will scan and replace corrupted files.
Restart your PC when the scan is done.
Introduction
I've just installed a networking simulator Called Netkit. On Debian stretch stable. Using the official installation guide here.
Installation
After setting the correct paths and installing. I then run the check_configuration.sh script.
Everything is checked OK, and it has found the terminal emulator xterm which is needed for netkit. And recieve the complete message.
[ READY ] Congratulations! Your Netkit setup is now complete!
Enjoy Netkit!
The Problem
Running netkit using the command:
vstart pc1
The xterm netkit-kernel emulator starts running. However I'm getting an infinite loop of the same error message:
ubda: can't open "home/foo/netkit/pc1.disk" failed, errno= 13
So im guessing it's because the file is missing? if so how do i obtain it? and if not, what is causing this error. I've followed the install guide completely.
I'm assuming your system is not a 32bit system. Netkit is only supported on the 32-bit architecture(unless the compatibility libraries are installed). Hence I would suggest you download a 32-bit VM(instead of installing the libraries) and run Netkit on the same(worked fine for me).
Check position of your lab-folder..
System - Win 7 64 bit.
Nodejs - node-v6.9.4-x64.msi
Installation error - Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.
Solutions that did NOT work - Run as admin, Run via commandline as admin, log had same error i saw in installer, don't install online docs option,
Please help me to fix this. Thank you !
This will not be an issue with your NodeJs installation, it might be because of your previous installation (might be any other software) which might be still in progress or not exit properly.
To solve your issue, please try restarting your machine once and install. This will indirectly kill your previous unstable installation and allow you to install NodeJs
I had this issue with '2017-03-21, Version 6.10.1 'Boron' (LTS)'. Restarting my PC solved the issue.
P.S. However, this issue seems to be specific to the NodeJs installer. I tried installing other programs after the NodeJs installation threw up this error and they installed fine (even before the restart).
I've downloaded the latest version of CefGlue as well as the corresponding CEF binaries. I can get the demo examples to run fine in Windows, but the Linux GtkSharp demo does not run. It compiles fine under MonoDevelop on my Linux box but throws a DllNotFoundException: libcef
I've put the libcef.so in the executable directory as well as running ldconfig in the CEF release directory.
I'm new to Linux, so there's probably something simple and obvious that I'm missing.
The answers on this Bitbucket issue explain how the library path resolution can be fixed.
Unfortunately, this Bitcuket issue goes on to explain that Linux support is broken and the maintainer Dmitry says that he doesn't have the resources to support linux.
I have been using the following to set up a jBPM/JBoss server on a remote machine (linux)
http://docs.jboss.org/jbpm/v5.1/userguide/ch03.html
The above linked worked fine locally on my windows box, without any hitches. However, I am having numerous errors with starting/shutting-down the server, and having the drools-guvnor page run completely (or any other than the JBoss AS splash page on localhost:8080). Should this be working fine on linux as well, or are there any other references that I can seek? Also, I have no desire to install eclipse, just to get the jBPM designer going.
Or am I better off attempting to load jBPM into a separate JBoss install?
Running Red Hate Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8
Thank you for your time
I was unable to get the jBPM installer demo (packaged with jboss) to work. Instead I did a separate installation of jBPM and JBoss and set the JBoss home in the build.xml file. Then performed the individual installation of guvnor and designer using
ant install.guvnor.into.jboss
ant install.designer.into.jboss
Still having errors, but the designer/guvnor are up and running, now it is a database problem :(
